Interlude welcomes Simone Guido Izzi, also known as Banishsh.
He is an Italian, Berlin-based sound artist, and DJ. His sonic research focuses on sub-frequency sounds, the unheard, and polyrhythms — sonic practice as subversive poetry. He currently runs the SMM0000 record label and the Room 411 studio in Berlin.
Tune in to Refuge Worldwide on Wednesday, 26 November from 3–4 pm to embark on a sonic journey through the archives of the 1969 Pan-African Festival in Algiers. The programme will also delve into related counter-archives from Tunis, Sicily and Naples.
Interlude is a radio programme initiated by Mohamed-Ali Ltaief — broadcast live from Berlin-Neukölln.
